What is
Plasma Fibroblast Treatment?

Plasma Fibroblast treatment is a non-invasive, non-surgical cosmetic procedure designed to lift and tighten skin around the eyes, face, neck, arms, hands, elbows, knees, legs, stomach, and other areas. Please consult further with your technician.

Through the use of a handheld plasma device, a small electric arc (plasma) emits to the skin creating micro-injuries, triggering the body's natural healing process by stimulating fibroblast cells located in the dermis layer of the skin.

What is Fibroblast?

Fibroblast is a medical term describing a type of cell that produces collagen and elastin proteins in the skin. Fibroblast cells are responsible for repairing wounded tissues in the skin when triggered. By triggering fibroblast cells into an active state, the skin begins to produce more collagen and elastin proteins restoring skin firmness and elasticity creating a more youthful appearance through skin cell turnover. This treatment counteracts the natural decline of collagen and elastin production in our skin that naturally occurs with age by stimulating the fibroblast cells with plasma arcs.

What is Plasma?

Plasma is superheated matter that delivers heat to the skin's surface through ionized gases of nitrogen and oxygen. Similar to a tiny lightening bolt, this controlled plasma arc emits heat in a controlled manner to create micro-injuries on the skin to stimulate fibroblast cells and the natural healing process.

By targeting the body and skin's natural healing process, the effects are expected to stimulate fibroblast production for up to 1 year after treatment resulting in even firmer skin.

Some healthcare providers may offer this treatment as an alternative to lasers, injections, or surgery to tighten and improve the appearance of skin with minimal downtime.

Fibroblast therapy is a less expensive alternative to surgery and can provide similar results without weeks of recovery time. Skin elasticity and tightening can continue to improve over time.

Fibroblast therapy is safe and effective for people with Fitzpatrick skin types 1–3.  Fitzpatrick skin types 4 and above, a patch test is required to confirm candidacy.
